PIRMAX HR Panels are CFC Free with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and contain zero Volitile Organic Compounts (VOC’s).

PIRMAX HR PANEL is an Australian made modified PIR (Polyisocyanurate) rigid thermal panel that can be used in many applications, it is the next generation in high performance insulation products for commercial and residential developments. Designed to achieve excellent thermal value where minimal cavity is available. A thermoset material that will not melt and drip away like other insulators.

PIRMAX HR PANEL has amongst the highest thermal values of the rigid board insulation products, giving buildings continued thermal efficiency throughout their life span. A light weight closed cell (Polyisocyanurate) foam core panel, easy to handle and allows fast fixing to any application.

CFC free with zero Ozone Potential (ODP), and contains zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s)

Interesting Insulation Facts

The earliest form of insulation was during the Middle Ages, when the walls of homes were stuffed with mud and straw to keep out the cold.

In the mid-1970s, home improvement companies traded asbestos insulation for fiberglass insulation after finding out the harmful effects asbestos has on lungs.

Fiberglass was invented when a young researcher named Dale Kleist attempted to create a vacuum-tight seal between two pieces of glass and a high-pressure jet of air shot through and turned them into fibers.

Today, an un-insulated home can lose up to 60% of its energy through walls and the ceiling.

Insulation is measured using an “R-value,” which refers to its resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the better it will insulate.
